Kenneth L. Kalen, Senior Consultant
Mr. Kenneth L. Kalen has more than 25
years experience in the areas of vehicle design, maintenance
management, and regulation compliance. He also has served as an
expert witness regarding vehicle design and maintenance.
His career includes work with truck component manufacturers from
both the OEM and retail perspectives and with a public service
company that operated more than 4,300 vehicles. There he managed
the maintenance operation of a fleet of more than 700 vehicles, Mr.
Kalen implemented measures to save over 25% of the costs of brake
repair and over 50% in tire repair. He also directed the conversion
of vehicle maintenance from a primarily outsourced operation to a
primarily in-house system by equipping company facilities and
hiring maintenance personnel. This conversion process reduced
maintenance costs by at least 5% each year. He was also charged
with the responsibilities of fleet regulation compliance and
vehicle operational safety.
Mr. Kalen is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of
Florida, and a member of Society of Automotive Engineers. He has a
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University.
