John E. Dolce, Senior Consultant

John has over 30 years experience in the fleet industry as a fleet manager for both public and private sector fleet operations. His responsibilities have included: vehicle procurement and maintenance; profit and loss management of a fleet budget in excess of $30 million; direction of a staff of more 200 technical and administrative personnel; vehicle and equipment specifications; vehicle purchasing; training of staff; fleet information systems; labor relations; and management of shop productivity and contractor repairs. He also teaches seminars on vehicle maintenance management and vehicle specification for various colleges and universities on both a national and international basis.

Mr. Dolce consulting experience includes: conducting benchmarking projects for 25 public and private companies and serving as a consultant in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean on a vehicle maintenance and operations program for the US Department of Energy.

John has three degrees: an A.A.S degree in Auto and Diesel Technology from the State University of New York at Farmingdale; and B.S. and M.A. degrees in Industrial Management from New York University. He has authored three books on fleet management:
